This conference has been hosted by Pierre Cariou\, Professor of Maritime Economics at Kedge Business School and Adjunct Professor at the Maritime University\, along with Michel Fender\, Professor of Supply Chain Management at Africa Business School.\n\nOver the past years\, logistics chains have faced various disruptions such as the COVID-19 pandemic\, the blockage of the Suez Canal\, and the conflict in Ukraine. Additionally\, the environmental impact of maritime transport has become a major concern. These events have prompted containerized maritime transport shipowners to rethink their strategies. The objective of this conference was to analyze the shipowners’ reactions to these new realities and explore the consequences of these strategies for shippers.

As a university at the frontiers of science\, UM6P promotes innovation\, encourages interdisciplinary studies\, and inspires participants to engage in ethical and philosophical debate beyond their core areas of expertise. The Science Week had conferences\, debates\, reading circles\, plays\, and musical performances. Key speakers included Stephen Wolfram\, Gregory Chaitin\, Stuart Kauffman\, and Hammou Laamrani\, among others. The theme for this year’s event was ‘Complexity’\, where each university department explored the relationship between complexity and their discipline. SUMMARY:Graduation ceremony OCP Beyond program
DESCRIPTION:Beyond participants received degrees certifying their completion of the Beyond talent development program.  The graduation ceremony commemorated the achievement of 50 students from around OCP Group landscape in completing the Executive Program.  The graduation ceremony took place at ABS campus in Irfane Rabat\, and included remarks by guest speaker Mrs. Yasmina Lamtiri\, Mr Abdelaziz El Melah\, Mr Jalal Charaf\, and Mr Samsam Taoufik.  As the programme seeks to build capacity within the group and its ecosystem towards implementing sustainable development practices and far-reaching industrial transformation\, it does so in a manner adapted to the reality on the ground.  The program’s core curriculum focuses on enhancing leadership capacity and analytical skills and implementing industrial DNA to enhance organizational effectiveness.

The event was organized in partnership with Quacquarelli Symonds (QS)\, a British firm behind one of the world’s most prestigious higher education rankings. \nThe forum focused on challenges facing education and higher education in Africa\, as well as the continent’s potential in the field\, and some of its recent achievements. \nWhile the event’s speakers highlighted the many difficulties facing the continent in its pursuit to be more internationally recognizable\, there was also an air of optimism for the future\, as well as a clear vision of the steps that need to be taken to ameliorate its position.

DESCRIPTION:Our seminar brought together experts to discuss the actuarial profession. \nThe topics discussed were as follows: \n\n“Financial rating for insurers and reinsurers” presented by Mr. Youssef FASSI FIHRI YOUSSEF Managing Director of SCR\n“The development of the financial market in Morocco: a real challenge for the insurance sector” presented by Mr. Mohamed AMRANI\, President of the Moroccan Association of Actuaries\n\nThe participants exchanged with Mr. FASSI FIHRI and Mr. AMRANI\, around the context and the stakes of financial rating\, with a focus on the rating approach on a national scale versus international rating. \nMr. FASSI FIHRI and Mr. AMRANI also discussed the financial market in Morocco and Africa and the stakes of financial development for the insurance and reinsurance sector. \nThis seminar emphasized the need to develop the Moroccan Actuarial profession through training provided in the framework of partnerships between the Mohammed VI Polytechnic University and the Moroccan insurance and finance sectors.
