He holds a PhD in Marine Ecology from the University of Western Australia and owns Squadron Energy\, Australia’s leading renewable energy company. The discussions offered a fresh perspective\, diverging from the mainstream Washington Consensus and instead employing a post-Keynesian analytical framework.\nJean-François Ponsot\, Professor of Economics at Université de Grenoble Alpes and researcher at PACTE\, presented on the theme: “Dollarization\, Dedollarization\, and Extractivism.” His insights shed light on the intricate relationships between global monetary policies and natural resource extraction.\nFollowing him\, Eric Berr\, Associate Professor of Economics at the University of Bordeaux and researcher at Bordeaux Sciences Economiques (BSE)\, explored the theme: “Thinking Sustainable Development with Keynes and the Post-Keynesians.” He provided valuable perspectives on how Keynesian and post-Keynesian theories can inform sustainable development practices.\nThis conference was an excellent opportunity for attendees to engage with innovative ideas and critically examine these global challenges through a post-Keynesian lens.
