Supply chain management: a growing leverage for business success
Best-in class companies use their Supply Chain to develop a competitive advantage. Top managers have identified Supply Chain Management as a key leverage for successfully executing their business plan. With the pandemic all companies recognize the importance to design and to implement agile, resilient and sustainable Supply chains. A lot of technical solutions are available to reach those objectives in a more volatile and complex world. The role of the Supply Chain manager becomes essential to support top management decisions to select the most appropriate solutions and to monitor them. The program aims at providing to those Supply chain managers the right management and technical competences in order to enable them to face those challenges.
The program is structured around 5 modules, what enables the participants to follow them on demand and to get certificates. In order to get the degree delivered by UM6P – ABS – Kedge Business School, the participants have to validate the 5 modules and to successfully submit a professional thesis. Adopting the UM6P’s model “Learning by Doing”, this program provides an experiential learning based on a mix of theories and practices. The program includes as well testimonials and meetings with professionals of the field, visits to platforms, etc.
Walid KLIBI, obtained his Ph.D. in Supply Chain Design at Laval University’s Business School in Canada, in 2009. He holds since 2020 a habilitation degree in Applied Mathematics at University of Bordeaux in France. Since 2011 he has been, a professor of Supply Chain & Operations Management at KEDGE Business School in Bordeaux, France. He is involved in teaching activities at KEDGE, especially with the ISLI master programs and the Program Grande Ecole, and with partner universities in Europe and Africa. He is also invited to run executive trainings with private organizations. He has co-authored a book entitled, “The Design of Value Creating Supply Chain Networks” published by Springer, which is intended for an academic and professional audience. He is a member of the Center of Excellence in Supply Chain (CESIT) at KEDGE BS. He is also a research affiliate of the MIT Center for Transportation & Logistics (MIT CTL). He is actively involved in Supply Chain design research and is the author of several scientific papers in international academic and professional journals. His research work focuses on Supply Chain design, Supply Chain resilience, omnichannel retailing, and urban logistics. His research is carried out in partnership with several international companies and gave rise to two research chairs.
Michel Fender holds a Doctorate in Economics and Social Sciences from Ecole des Ponts ParisTech and is an adjunct professor at HEC Paris and an Dean of Research and Faculty Affairs at the Africa Business School. Previously, he was Associate Dean for Executive Education at ESSEC as well as President of the Industrial Engineering Department and Professor at Ecole des Ponts ParisTech. For 30 years, he has been combining consulting and pedagogy to promote the transformation of people and organizations in the fields of value chain, operations and supply
chain management. Its trademark is to closely combine advisory and training, technical and managerial dimensions with the same objective of sharing, transmitting and growing by providing confidence. An expert and educator, Michel Fender has been a supply chain consultant for more 30 years for many international, private and public clients.
His expertise: Combine expertise and pedagogy, field practice and formalization at the service of people and companies in the fields of Supply Chain Management. Facilitate dialogue between General Managers and Business Players to ensure the creation of business value through Supply Chain Management. Contributing to innovation and supporting transformation. Take action to improve and identify disruptions Support business transformation Develop the managerial and leadership capabilities of Supply Chain players.
Candidates must hold a 4-5-year higher education qualification: Master / Bachelor with 3 years professional experience in Supply Chain, Logistics etc.
B2/Upper intermediate English proficiency level is needed to apply for the program.
At the end of the program, participants are given:
Mastère Spécialisé® en Global Supply Chain Management* delivered by Kedge Business School accredited by the Conférence des Grandes Ecoles Françaises and Executive Master in Supply Chain Management delivered by UM6P/ABS for those, who complete the full requirements.
A certificate for the participants, who follow just a certificate.
*To get the Master degree, the participants have to validate the 5 modules + the professional thesis.
