As catalysts of change, Africa Business School and Al Akhawayn University in Ifrane aim to encourage dialogue, research, and training through this collaboration to prepare promising future African leaders for a more inclusive world.
The Women in Leadership program is a result of joint efforts to lead in the development of diversity and inclusion in both the country and continent. It is an opportunity for participants to engage in a constructive dialogue, reflect on their daily experiences, and demystify the barriers holding them back.
On how women could break the glass ceiling, there is no straightforward answer. Women face a unique set of challenges when progressing into senior leadership positions. Stereotypes, a scarcity of career development opportunities, and a continually shrinking peer group as women reach top management positions. The Women in Leadership Program champions togetherness as a vector of empowerment; it is an opportunity for participants to engage in constructive dialogue, reflect on their daily experiences, and deconstruct the barriers hold them back. The program is designed to equip women with the tools to increase their leadership skills and be impactful in their organization.
