The Sustainable Business Economics Center (SBEC) at Africa Business School, in partnership with the Casablanca Finance City Authority, has released the White Book for Developing Voluntary Carbon Markets in Morocco, a comprehensive reference designed to support the emergence of high-integrity voluntary carbon markets in the country.

The White Book offers a practical and policy-oriented roadmap for market development. It provides an in-depth analysis of global voluntary carbon market trends, Morocco’s national project pipeline, and potential linkages with Article 6 of the Paris Agreement, alongside selected Moroccan case studies. The publication aims to contribute to the structuring of a credible, transparent, and high-integrity voluntary carbon market framework in Morocco.

The publication was officially launched on December 22, 2025, at the Casablanca Finance City Authority, during a dedicated event that brought together key stakeholders from Morocco’s carbon markets and green assets ecosystem. The launch created a platform for dialogue and exchange on the challenges and opportunities associated with building a credible and high-integrity carbon market framework.
