The PhD program in Management and Organizational Sciences at Africa Business School equips students with foundational disciplinary theories and advanced research methods essential for an academic career. The program targets research-minded graduates with a completed master’s degree or equivalent and a strong academic background, particularly those interested in research within an African context. Faculty and researchers from African universities who do not yet hold a PhD are also encouraged to apply. The program seeks highly resilient candidates capable of managing a demanding workload and committed to conducting research on one of the proposed and funded topics.

ADMISSION PROCESS & FEES

SELECTION PROCESS

Online application: Students must submit an online application, which includes academic transcripts, motivation essay, research proposal, relevant exam scores, and a detailed CV.
Online test: Qualified applicants will take online tests with emphasis on mathematics and proficiency in English.

Interview:

Short-listed applicants will be invited to an online interview.
Top applicants will be asked to participate in a written research assessment

SCHOLARSHIP & TUITION FEES

PhD candidates receive a generous monthly scholarship with tuition fees deducted as per institutional requirements.
Scholarship continuation is subject to annual confirmation based on academic performance.
This program is open exclusively to full-time PhD students.
