Benefits of the program

The doctoral-level, research-based Africa Business School DBA qualification aims to enhance trans-disciplinary professional practice in management disciplines. The program focuses on identifying contemporary real-world business problems and developing research projects that address these issues. The program aims to motivate DBA students to apply organizational theory in an interdisciplinary manner, fostering critical and analytical thinking to impact organizational strategies and operations. The ABS DBA pays particular attention to the development of cutting-edge applied research that shapes the business and societal landscape in Africa and beyond. The program expects its graduates to significantly advance business practices through research and the application of theory.

  • A Master’s degree or equivalent in any discipline from an accredited institution or any national degree approved by the Moroccan authorities of higher education as equivalent to a Master’s degree. These degrees have also to be approved and recognized by UM6P.
  • For a master’s degree with CGPA, the minimum CGPA is 3.00; or any other equivalent qualifications recognized by the University.
  • 10+ years post master’s degree senior management experience.

ACADEMIC & PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS

MOTIVATION & RESEARCH PROPOSAL

bullet Submission of a 1-2 page comprehensive personal statement explaining the applicant’s motivation for pursuing a DBA, career goals, and how the program aligns with their professional aspirations. 

bullet Submission of a 1–3-page research proposal identifying a contemporary real-world business problem of a firm, outlining research questions, and methodology. The proposal should demonstrate the candidate’s ability to contribute to business practice. 

 

SELECTION PROCESS

bullet Applicants whose proposal passes the Program Director’s initial screening will be invited for an interview.  

bullet Interview performance is scored independently by at least two panel members.  

bullet Take and pass Cambridge English test by UM6P Language Lab. 

ABS Innovation Project Fund

The Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (UM6P) – Africa Business School (ABS) has launched the ABS Innovation Project fund of 18M MAD, aimed at strengthening the ties between academia and industry.

This program includes innovation projects designed for Doctorate in Business Administration (DBA) students, in partnership with companies.

These projects should align with at least one of ABS’s four strategic themes:
