Organizational Behavior & Leadership

With the automation and IT revolution, managing the ‘hard side’ of organizations (i.e., the technical aspects) is becoming somewhat simpler. Thus, the importance of managing the ‘soft side’ of organizations (i.e. the human aspect) is becoming more and more important. The effective utilization and alignment of human resources with organizational needs has become the strongest competitive advantage in the long term. In the VUCA world, how employees learn, relearn, behave, influence others, and perform affects every management function and each organizational unit. The impact that leaders and teams have on organizations is more important today than ever before.
Within the Organizational Behavior & Leadership research cluster at ABS, we aim to contribute to both knowledge creation and knowledge dissemination. For knowledge creation, we conduct research that is relevant for Moroccan and African organizations. We investigate multidisciplinary questions that connect different fields of research and organizational functions. For knowledge dissemination, we publish impactful research articles and develop business case studies. We also influence management practice through executive education.
