Presentation

Muhammad Malik is an Associate Professor of OB and HRM at LUMS University, Pakistan, where he has also worked as Associate Dean (Research). He is joining Africa Business School, UMP6 from Fall 2020.
Muhammad earned his PhD in Management from LUMS. Muhammad also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. Before starting his academic career, he worked in private sector of Pakistan in the areas of Sales, Projects, and Manufacturing for around 9 years.
Muhammad is active in both teaching and research. He has taught management and HRM related courses to undergraduate, graduate and post graduate classes. His research has appeared in the top journals of the field, including Journal of Organizational Behavior and Applied Psychology, among others. He has developed several business case studies for MBA and executive training programs. Muhammad is very active in executive development and has designed and delivered numerous executive development programs for leading national and multinational firms in Pakistan. He has received management and pedagogical trainings from leading institutions such as Harvard University, US, and Ivey business school, Canada. Muhammad has presented his research in several national and international conferences. Travelling, photography and literature take most of his spare time.

Business experiences in similar programs

Muhammad has a total experience of +20 years, of which he spent 9 years in corporate sector and 11 years in academia. In addition to LUMS University in Pakistan, he has worked as visiting researcher at Concordia University in Canada, and as visiting Lecturer at University Sains Malaysia. He is an expert in designing and delivering executive training programs in the areas of leadership, team building, change management, and HRM. He also provides consultancy services in these areas.
